Private Pilates focuses directly on your individual needs and utilizes top of the line Gratz apparatus. The goal is to craft the best session, tailoring it to meet you where you are today. With over 600 exercises, it is done while preserving the philosophy, teachings, exercises and vitality of Joseph Pilates' work.
Together we will correct posture, strengthen muscle weaknesses and imbalances, increase flexibility, relieve tension, and strengthen your core. The objective is to keep you focused on form, to motivate you to reach for the next level and deliver this in an energized, yet relaxed and nurturing environment. As your strength and ability level increases, modifications are made and your workouts advance to give you new challenges.
Private practice is also the preferred way to learn the foundations of Pilates on both the mat and apparatus, while working at your own pace. It will empower you with a solid understanding of the basics in order to build upon and continue your practice. Many people decide to keep their private sessions as part of their regular routine. It is also a great jumping off point before attending group classes or it can be occasional supplement to your regular group class schedule.
The studio is equipped with Gratz apparatus; Full and Half Cadillac, Tower Units, Reformers, Wunda Chairs, High Chair, Arm (Baby) Chair, Ladder Barrel, Spine Corrector and Small Barrels, Pedi-Pole, Foot Correctors, Toe Corrector, plus various Pilates props such as Magic Circles, balls, weights, weighted bars, rollers and Thera-bands.
