At The Pilates Loft in Manchester Center, Vermont, every movement is intentional. We focus on precision, breath, alignment, and mindful control to help you move safely, build strength, and deepen your understanding of your body. Classes are designed to challenge every level of experience, from foundational practice to advanced work, with individualized guidance to support your progress.

I help people feel strong, capable, and at home in their bodies through Pilates that’s precise, thoughtful, and deeply personal. Over nearly 20 years in Manchester Center, with more than 25,000 hours of instruction, I’ve worked with beginners through advanced clients — and I still love seeing the moments when someone discovers new ease, strength, or balance in their body. Strong, resilient bodies aren’t built through intensity alone — they’re built through understanding, patience, and consistent practice. My approach is what I call “Pilates with a Soul”: movement that honors the whole person — body, mind, and life experience — not just the workout.
Movement has been my life since age three, beginning with dance and progressing to intensive training at the Joffrey Ballet School and with artists from NYC Ballet, American Ballet Theater, and Martha Graham. Teaching as a teen gave me early insight into how unique each body is and how movement can transform it.
I earned my BFA in Dance from SUNY Purchase (1992) and began studying Pilates while in college, drawn to its precision, alignment, and focus on whole-body awareness. I trained extensively with a Romana’s Pilates instructor before becoming fully certified by Power Pilates® in New York City. Over the years, my knowledge has grown not only through teaching clients — each body and story teaches me something new — but also through learning alongside a community of skilled practitioners, keeping my practice informed, nuanced, and connected. I continue my professional development, staying grounded in classical principles while embracing new insights. With decades of experience and an extensive background in dance, I can see subtle patterns in movement, tailor guidance to each client, and help them progress with clarity, care, and encouragement.
Every session — private or small-group — is designed around your body, your goals, and your life. Even group classes are adaptable once we’ve worked together privately, so each client progresses safely, comfortably, and confidently. Pilates is more than a workout; it’s preventative care that strengthens, supports, and builds lasting confidence.

I have been part of The Pilates Loft community since 2008 and am grateful to teach in a space that values thoughtful, high-quality movement.
I trained under Erika’s guidance for 17 years, building a strong foundation through consistent personal practice and ongoing professional development. I am certified through Power Pilates® and continue to deepen my understanding of the method.
My teaching is rooted in integrity, clarity, and care. I focus on helping clients understand not only how to perform each exercise, but why it matters and how it supports the body as a whole. By emphasizing purpose and precision, I aim to help clients feel confident, informed, and connected to their practice.
Clients often describe my style as both supportive and challenging. My goal is to guide each person thoughtfully, helping them build strength, control, and body awareness in a steady, sustainable way.
